My name is Elizabeta Paar. I am an ambitious and adventurous pharmacist living in Vienna, Austria, originally from Croatia.
I have visited 31 countries so far, many of them multiple times, and this is only the beginning.

Most of my travels started thanks to my background in pharmacy.
As a student, I joined exchange programmes and attended international congresses, which introduced me to new cities and, even more importantly, to new people.

Many of the connections I made along the way became friendships, and those friendships often shaped my trips: from insider tips to exploring places together, every destination felt more meaningful.

When I travel, I do not just focus on sightseeing;...
I love to experience each country’s culture firsthand, meet locals, and understand different perspectives and ways of living.

As I have always enjoyed combining my passion for travel and photography, I thought it was the perfect time to start this travel blog – a place to share my experiences and insights from around the world.

For me, travel is about
feeling small in the best way: Realising how many beautiful routines, traditions, and stories exist beyond my own.
I want this blog to be a space where I collect those moments: conversations with locals, quiet streets at sunrise, mountain views after a hike, and everything in between.

If you love meaningful travel
and visual storytelling,
I think we will get along.

Sometimes I feel as though
I have lived ten different lives:
Moving from Croatia to Austria in my twenties to build my pharmacy career, travelling the world, trying new things, and using three different languages every day while studying a fourth language.
I am naturally curious, with many interests – from photography, dancing, hiking, and cycling to running, fitness, cooking, and home organisation.

The older I become, the more I realise that we have only one life, and that the time we are given – and the people we choose to surround ourselves with – can never be regained.
Each day deserves to be lived fully, filled with experiences and people who uplift us, because superficial things rarely bring the lasting happiness we seek.
So, instead of planning too far ahead, I try to stay present, make the most of the moment, and choose what truly matters – for me, that often means booking the trip, exploring somewhere new, and collecting memories that remain with me long after I return.
Taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto is an excellent experience when travelling in Japan. The high-speed train is comfortable, punctual, and efficient, covering approximately 450 kilometres in about two and a half hours, taking you from Tokyo (...)
