Discovering Istanbul

In 2024, I travelled to Istanbul with two Romanian friends on a road trip from Bucharest. The city, often described as where East meets West, is a fascinating blend of history and modern life, with landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Dolmabahçe Palace, alongside bustling streets and vibrant markets.

I also visited a hammam, a traditional Turkish bath with separate areas for men and women, where steam, cleansing, and massages provide a unique experience.

Highlights and Adventures

Istanbul impressed me with its excellent food and beautiful dresses in local markets and boutiques. We enjoyed a Bosphorus boat ride, admiring the city from the water and the blend of European and Asian sides.

Travelling with friends made the experience even more memorable.
