Baths, Boats & City Lights

Easily reachable from Vienna, Budapest is perfect for a weekend trip. It is truly a beautiful and walkable city – I used the public transport only when arriving and leaving.

I saw the main highlights: the Parliament Building, Fisherman's Bastion, Royal Palace, and even went on a boat ride on the Danube and a spin on the Ferris wheel.

I also had a coffee at the beautiful New York Café, which was a nice little break.

Széchenyi Sparty & City Energy

The city is split into Buda, with its quiet historic hills, and Pest, the livelier side full of shops, restaurants, and bars.

I also visited Szimpla Kert, one of the city’s famous ruin bars, located in an old, repurposed building filled with creative décor and a lively atmosphere.

My visit ended with a “Sparty” at Széchenyi Thermal Bath – Budapest is really a great city for parties.
